AMI U47 Kit and Parts

The U47 Modern Kit is comprised of parts that can be used to make your own microphone or used as replacement parts for damaged historic U47’s.  The kit was designed to facilitate do it yourselfers in making a great looking and great sounding microphone without having to deal with parts that are no longer made.  The outside of the kit looks like the historic U47 while the inside of the kit has been reworked for an easier build.  The tube socket is designed for a Noval style vacuum tube and the top plate has been simplified for easier capsule mounting.  You can also request to swap out the bottom bell for one that is Tuchel ready (Tuchel connector not included) and you can request to swap out the head basket for the historic U47 style version that has the switch hole.  Currently, we do not have the head basket switching mechanism in stock but we are working on having that portion made in the near future.  We do not provide electronic components (resistors, capacitors, relays, etc.) or tubes as we would just be a middle man which would unnecessarily drive up the final costs to you.  Contact us at sales@tab-funkenwerk.com to place an order.
